VM Work Related Skills (WRS) prepares students for the next step after school, whether that’s work, training, or further study. Through practical projects and workplace learning, students explore what it means to be adaptable, reliable, and ready for the future.
They learn to set career goals, understand employer expectations, and develop the communication, teamwork, and self-management skills that employers value.
For teachers, WRS provides a structure to guide students through pathway planning and reflective practice. For students, it’s about discovering their strengths and building a portfolio that shows what they can do. Integrated with the other domains, WRS turns aspiration into action.

### Term four
## [[All About Me]]
Students create a mind map which starts at their own name, connecting to interests and activities, and then to skills. Students then work to colour code their identified skills and categorise them as either personal or professional.
## [[Career Action Plan (Section One)]]
The Career Action Plan, broken into multiple sections, allows students to interrogate both themselves and their experience to better understand their interests, passions, values and to introduce them to various career paths.
## [[Digital Resume]]
At this stage, students should be becoming increasingly familiar with Google Sites through their work within the [[Digital Literacy]] unit. This unit of work aims to connect their prior WRS work from both [[All About Me]] and the [[Career Action Plan]] to allow them to synthesise this knowledge within a professional presentation of themselves.
